A quote

"I'm not a deaf musician. I'm a musician who happens to be deaf."
- Evelyn Glennie, professional musician, age 57

"Just choose love!"

- Elisa, age 5

"Don't let alligators run around in your mind telling you what you can't do. Pretend you're using karate on them to get them out of your head. You can do anything!"
- Trevor, age 9

anecdotes

An anecdote

Share a quick story where you learned something impactful, something that you think will help others.   It can be related to sound/hearing... or not. Please keep it under 150 words.
.............................................................

Example:
"At the end of the day, all I want to do is take a break from listening because it requires so much effort for me to concentrate on hearing throughout the day. For the longest time, I felt bad really about this. But, I think one of the hardest things you have to learn to do in life is to listen to yourself. Truly listen to yourself and respect what your body is telling you. Tread gently on your soul.""

- Sophia, age 63
